Project: FCC SkyTower, Romania


The project in Romania covered three major buildings: a sky tower, office building and a shopping and entertainment center located in one of the most attractive and rapidly developing areas in Bucharest with great infrastructure and close to green areas. The project is part of the portfolio of Raiffeisen Property Holding International (RPHI), a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International.

The SkyTower’s height of 137 meters makes it the highest building in the country.

 - gross building area: 50 400 sqm

 - Floors: 5 UGF /518 parking spaces/ + GF+36 floors above the ground

Total costs of the project exceeded 100 million Euro.

Bucharest’s SkyTower has been awarded with a “Gold” level LEED Green Building Certificate.

The office building has 7 floors and has a gross floor area approx. 26,000 m².

Promenada Shopping Mall has a gross built-up area of 57 000 sq.m., including 1400 parking spaces. It accommodates 120 shops, food court areas and other amenities.

Further to the design and construction of the Sky Tower project BAE was responsible for checking the technical documentation (drawings and specifications) regarding economic efficiency and feasibility for the investor’s purposes. The works included control on quality, cost and deadlines during the building phase concerning the HVAC and WSS trades. BAE was active with participating in the acceptance procedure and commissioning of building installations.
